What a FANTASTIC goverment we have eh?

Lebanon/Beirut being blown to bits.......so we take around 10 days to organise a proper evacuation...

Great...all sorted now then.....well NO!!!

Filipino nanny turns up with 2 British kids...mother trapped somewhere else....."Sorry you can't come no visa"....so the kids have to stay in a war zone :NoNo:

Husband/wife/kid turn up....."Husband & kid are British can go....wife hasn't got a visa so has to stay" :Erm:

Husband/Wife/2 kids......."Hubby can go....oh and so can the young lad...but your wife and the little girl don't have visa's so have to stay" :xxangry-smiley-009:

As we are only taking them to Cyprus, why the hell are they sticking to the immigration rules by the letter, when these people have proof of marriage/birth?

It's not as though they are asylum seekers......as soon as the bombing stops, they want to go back home....to LEBANON!!

The stiff upper lip of the British Empire is as unyielding as ever. I assume it is because the military follow orders to the letter, instead of just backscuttling away from any responsibility or decision making, like the civilians in the immigration and law enforcement beaurocracy back home would do.
