Travel Insurance for fiancee

Is it a requirement or advisable to get travel insurance for the period before our wedding, do they ask for it at immigration?

Doubt they'll ask for it, as it's bugger all to do with them, but technically it is a legal requirement in this country.

You can get Blue Circle travel insurance cover for a pittance in the PI. Neither my wife or mum in law bothered when they came to the UK, and were never asked about it either.
