Hi,

I am presuming that when our spouse arrives in the UK with their new spousal visa stamp, that there is no restriction on their movements?

This is with them having their new (husband's) name in their passport.

I mean, can they come and go freely in and out of the country from the first month?

Thanks :)

Your wife will able to travel freely to asian countries etc, because her visa should say multiple entry, but to travel around Europe she will need a Schengen visa.

Hi IainBusby
Thanks for the quick reply.
What about other countries, on the continent of Africa for example?
I may have work there one day.
Mike

If you search for it, Yves, aka A Flyer, posted a really useful link on here somewhere, you just select your nationality, your country of departure, the country you want to visit and it will tell you all of the visa requirements for that country.
Cheers,
Iain.
