hello everyone im wondering what ilr and flr means i seen on this site but can anyone tell me what they mean. my wife just got spouse visa and im wondering maybe we have missed something. coz she flys to uk the end of this month. sorry if im being stupid hehehe grant dundee scotland

No need to worry about the ILR and FLR application for now. The spouse visa of your wife is valid for 27 months i think. And before it expires that's the time she needs to apply for ILR. You can use the search engine to find more about ILR/FLR.

but you should check the UK Border Agency website every so often, as immigration rules have and will change, so don't be caught out :doh

and you should read the guidance notes for set(m) and also look at the current app form

so you know what you need to have ready for when you apply for ILR..

as of now, 6 items of evidence, spread over the 2 years with both your names on.

and your wife must have passed the 'life in the uk' test (KOL) or done a English course that covers the citizenship material.

so now is the time to start preparing, but there may well be changes, end of this year and next year that will effect your wife :Erm:, so keep upto date with the immigration rules :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Excellent Advice! :xxgrinning--00xx3: I wish someone had given me this sort of advice when my wife first arrived here. If they had then I'm sure we would have been far better prepared when it came to the ILR application and all of the evidence etc that is required.
