I think it's a case to case basis, some did not have interviews and some did.

It depends on your case. I didn't get an interview during my time. And that's a fiance visa. just make sure that all your papers have no problems that would give them any doubts.

Applicants may be exempt from the personal interview requirement if your application is "clearly approvable", meaning it is complete and accurate, and your case overall does not raise any serious "red flags".

they also pick people at random, just because you get asked to attend an interview doesn't mean there is a problem with your app.

most people who attend an interview still get their visa straight away ..

To add, sometimes they say they want to know if its genuine relationship, questioning how far you know the person u will marry.............:):)
