Great idea, realistically I feel it is probably to late for this year, we should push hard to get ourselves oganised for next year.
What does everyone think ??

It might be difficult to find a venue and places to stay, what about this for a suggestion CenterParcs (or similar) Nottingham or Cumbria, then would have lodges 3 to 4 couples per lodge and arrange our own food and gathering on the site.

But can you go Horse riding in your flat?
I think your right.
Lesssons i have learned on any meet up with people who dont know all the others is
Make sure food is involved, also if it is let there be a good selection and the option to opt out.Do make sure anyone with special requirments has let the staff know in advance or check veg options etc are avaiable. For example we used to always use places like TGI Fridays where if people just want a drink they can and others can eat.
Make it easy for people to come and go though out the event.
Make sure people with different size pockets will feel comfortable.
Make sure you have someone in charge dont make it a collective thing. It will take ages to make little decisions etc.
Also at the moment make sure no huge deposts are required many people with the current situation do not know when suddenly they cant afford to come to events such as this.

Nigel,
An evening out would be fine for those living local to each other, good idea.
Most members here are spread out around the UK and therefore an overnight stay is necessary, thats why I suggested somewhere like centerparcs as hotel rooms and a venue for a get together will be difficult to find so close to Christmas.

yay!
got 3010 unread new posts! hehe i've been very busy munky in the past weeksss...
anyway, mR nigel! what now?
the poll is a success.. but only 22couples responded!... meaning we have 44 people who would love to meet up!
so Nigel! now you are winning! yey!
what's next? maybe create another poll for locatiOns (where they are living atm) like...
midlands, north, sothwest et AL? so then we can decide which has more participants?
then we can choose where to have the party... hehe...
44 is not bad at all! can be before or after Christmas even January is still great! at least we will not be thinking about reservations et al...
THANK YOU!
BUT THIS POLL IS STILL OPEN!
ILL CREATe ANOTHER POLL FOR THE LOCATIONS
