Never liked these guys. I don't class them as rock as the music has no depth to it, and any bass may as well not be there.

I don't like any of the 100's of songs they've made, and wish someone would shoot them http://www.win2win.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/cwm24.gif

I can't get no...sanatogen :icon_lol:

Somehow I think its about time they retired, they can't make the charts anymore and World of Twist did a better version of "She's a Rainbow". So there! :Hellooo:

I was out of the country at the time, but how did the Rolf Harris version of Stairway to Heaven manage to make the charts? :Brick: Must have been a bad year for royalties payments :cwm24:

Dio is the same age as Jagger, and yet he can still belch out the old Deep Purple classics in style, as well as his own stuff. Latest DVD is great.

I may go and see Purple soon, but they are also passed there best, Gillan has lost his vocal power now.

Shooting maybe a touch harsh!

but as someone who for example saw Metallica over 20 years ago and then lost interest in such music for many years I was staggered to realise they were still playing a couple of years ago.
I mean at their age bad enough but at the Stone's age :yikes:

Difference between Metallica, Maiden, etc, they all started around the 80's.....the stones started in the 60's!!

Hi Rob

Is this the same Rob from Radio Ceredigion ? if so you have an advantage over other forum members with your access to music

I though World of Twist supplied those sticky fruits that adorn fruit cocktails ........ cheers :Rasp:

I dont care. like many other bands (U2 springs to mind). they do it soley for the money.
The music is bland MOR.. phil collins, aerosmith.. they're all the same.

I'm sure all these bands spend more time structuring offshore funds to reduce taxes, than writing music.

Guys lets start talking 90's up to the recent bands then, its more cool than 60's bands?.. i like reggae, especially to bob marley(no woman no cry, redemption song, three little birds, jamming)though Bob is passed away already and UB40(red,red wine),.

But i think most of you here are fun of old musics?...:Erm:

Still think that the Stones is a great rock n roll band.not at par with say, the beatles, but still is one hell of a band for me.
