its been a while since i posted but i want to say i,m happy to be married to my beatiful wife on the 3rd of november in the municipal hall in silang cavite.

but i,m not a happily married man yet because i,m now back in the uk thousands of miles away from her.

a couple of things i was wondering about to strenthen her visa aplication.
although i,m self employed and earned just 33,000 the last 3 years i have 3000 + in my savings.
i rent a room in my house out to a friend and i recieve 240 pound a calender month for that. should this be mentioned in a suporting letter maybe ?

my mother lives in a 3 bedroom bugalow and would be willing to acomodate me and the wife if we was to fall on hard times and would put that in writing.
is this a good idea to provide such imformation ?

Hi Chris,

I would certainly put in the fact you receive rent, but make sure you have some proof that this money comes in. i.e. Bank statements.

The IAS advised me that third party support for accommodation is fine (although I am applying for a fiance visa) but the Embassy will not accept third party support for financial matters (i.e. asking a relative to help support you).

The IAS also told me that, as long as you can support your wife without recourse to public funds (for a parent and child that is £150 a week) then you will be fine. If you currently support her financially, then include proof of this, and make the point that this money will also be available once you are together.

Good luck with the application.
