Mystery Pinoy Film

Hope someone on this forum can help, as I have been driving my Asawa mad for the last 4 years about a particular film.

I went to the RP early 2004, where we married. Coming back on Qatar airways they were showing a Pinoy film about 4 young Filipinas and their lives and loves. One of them took part in beauty contests and took part in a big contest where she had an affair with one of the judges (who then had an affair with another contestant). I think one of the other girls was with their childhood sweetheart, who always called her 'Mamma.'

I can't remember the name of the film though and have been trying to find out what it was, ever since I came back. My Asawa has tried to help but so far haven't been able to find out the name.

I am hoping someone here might recognise the film and could tell me the name of it.

DO YOU KNOW ANY OF THE CHARACTERS? Lead Actors? Kids?

What type of setting was it? Old or present time?
Where was filmed? Manila, provinces, malls, seas, mountains, forests?

What was the moral of the story?
Why do like the story? You sure it was made in the PI? Maybe it was Thai, Chinese, et al movies with sub-titles?

Give us lots of hints... We might figure it out! hehe
