Our visa from the day we sent it only took 2 weeks but thats is quite rare.

They seemed to be processing things very quickly at the start of this year as i know a couple of friends of mine who had their visa sorted out in 1 week

Not on here it isn't :)

Our friends put there's in last Thursday and were told it'll be two weeks, otherwise 3 months if an interview is required.

It took about two weeks or so.

But the system had just changed when we went to apply and we got the visa a week before on the system previously in place my Wife was due to have her interview.

I think the time for an interview can vary widely, due to the checks the embassy might need to make about you both so thats why it is best to provide as much evidence as you can (The courier had to wait while my Wife reducded the amount of evidence we had provided)make the embassies life easy and hopefully they will make yours very happy!

We were told by the embassy that the processing time would be 3 weeks. That was this time last year, and we had to make an appointment for the interview, which we did. A week after the appointment had been made, and probably within 1-2 days of them receiving the application they called to say no need for an interview. 3 weeks later we were refused.
6 months passed by, but eventually on 30th April a visa arrived. So from the time from when we cantacted the embassy (July 14th) to my fiancee landing in the UK (5th May) I worked out at 11 months, or 295 days, or 7080 hours, or 424800 minutes or 25488000 seconds. That is a very long time (especially if like Keith you count sheep to pass the time - dare I say he could have counted all the sheep in Wales in that time), but I know a guy whose application took 5 years and a high court battle to get his wife here.

So whats the record for the longest time anyone ?
