I am about to book a weekend in London and was wondering if any of you have stayed there and can give some advice on good budget accomodation, places to see and where to eat.
If you can tell me of some places to stay that are close to the underground for easy access.
Also if you can point me to some places of interest like filipino cafes or shops.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Brighton....that's near the Channel Tunnel underground, and at least has cleaner air....:cwm3:
Also if you can point me to some places of interest like filipino cafes or shops
Kempton, Goodwood, Windsor, Sandown, Ascot.....:Hellooo:

Yes, there is a nice Phil restaurant just across the road from (in the street facing the station) Earls Court tube station, and a Phil shop just across the road from it.
The lechon kawali was rather nice.

We are flying into Gatwick..
Even if we do not stay at Earl's court is it easy enough to get to?

From Gatwick to london via victoria station then jump on the district line and yer there.
Earls court is easy enough to get to as both the district and picadilly line pass though.
Google for tubehotels (didn't put as link as don't which to upset admin) your find a web site which will help you so im told by others who have used it, as a londoner i have never needed to use such a site so can't tell you first hand sorry.

John,
Gina says...the cheapest play to stay is our appartment, if you cant find somewhere, you have a nice room at ours, but between £50.00 to £75.00 per night in budget hotels in Earls Court, Gloucester road, South Kensington, around £100.00 a night, there isnt much less than that, to my knowledge John.
