Really Confusing Visa Fee...

I ALREADY GOT AN APPOINTMENT TO SUBMIT MY APPLICATION ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19.2008 AT 11:10 AM. AND ALSO I HAVE MADE MY PAYMENT ON A MANAGER'S CHECK THRU BDO IN AMOUNT OF 40,170 PESOS.
IM AM VERY MUCH CONFUSED AND WORRIED BECAUSE WHEN I MADE MY APPLICATION ONLINE, IT SAYS THERE THAT THE SETTLEMENT FEE FOR A FIANCEE VISA IS 43,775 PESOS. WHILE IN UKVACS WEBSITE IT SAYS THAT ITS ONLY 40,170 PESOS. HOW MUCH REALLY IS THE AMOUNT FOR A FIANCEE VISA???:Erm: PLEASE HELP ME CLEAR MY MIND ON THIS. THANK YOU!

I just checked the VFS website and it says, visa fee is P40,170. I guess the UKvisas online application website has not updated yet. So do not worry as I thought most of the members here who submitted their application recently paid same amount.

Goodluck on your application....just like what simplelife said the vfs online application website is not updated yet.... so the P40,170 is the correct payment to be made :xxgrinning--00xx3:.Again goodluck...

And besides even u deficit they will ask u the remaining amount to paid on the spot,but yeah, you are right thou its only 40,170 for more then 1 1/2 months now,it didn't changed the visa fee still

Hello delton May,

I have submitted my application today Dec. 18 and I had to change my manager's cheque to 40,170 because they don't accept over payment. I followed what's written on the application when I printed it out which is 43, 775 though I've read on the site that it's 40.170. I was so pissed off but then I had no choice but to change it. Good thing I still have some money left in my savings account so that's what I used to pay for my manager's cheque. There's a BDO infront of RCBC in makati so that's where I went and they issued me MC . So after getting the MC i immediately went back to the application Center and finally submitted my application. I live in Spain. At a presentation by the British Consul recently when I was complaining about the cost of renewing a British Passport, The Consul said the charge had been reduced inline with the falling pound. That may account for the apparent reduction in the cost in MNL. Of course the cost is still the same, ridiculously high, in pounds. So, unless one an income from a non Sterling source the charges are still the same !
