MY STORY
MET MY FIANCEE MARIFE 2 YEARS AGO IN PHILS, ON MY SECOND TRIP WE TRAVELLED TO THAILAND FOR A HOLIDAY WE ALSO FLEW TO TACLOBAN-E/SAMAR (HER ISLAND AND MOTHER LIVE NEAR BY) FOR A SHORT TRIP. ON MY RETURN TO UK SHE APPLIED FOR A VISIT VISA, SUPPLYING AIRLINE STUBBS AND PHOTOS etc FOR EVIDENCE OF RELATIONSHIP. WE GOT THE VISA WITHOUT INTERVIEW AND SHE FLEW TO UK AND STAYED FOR 5 MONTHS.I WONT BORE YOU WITH OUR LOVE AND COMMITMENT FOR EACH OTHER, OTHERWISE I WOULD NOT BE USING THIS GREAT FORUM. ON THAT APPLICATION I HAD NO SAVINGS AND ONLY SHOWED ABOUT £1500 IN MY ACCOUNT BUT I DO OWN MY HOUSE AND HAVE A REGULAR JOB, ON US RETURNING TO PHILS (ME FOR 2 WEEK TRIP) WE APPLIED FOR A 5 YEAR VISIT VISA -I PROVIDED THE USUAL 6MONTH BANK STATEMENTS AND WE GOT REFUSED THE VISA. NOW THEY WROTE THEY UNDERSTOOD IT WAS A GENUINE RELATIONSHIP BUT 2 OUT OF MY 6 BANK STATEMENTS SHOWED AN OVERDRAWN AMOUNT (MY FAULY, GOT TOO COCKY) I FLEW OUT AGAIN SHORTLY TO COMFORT HER AND TOOK HER TO THAILAND AGAIN (DID I MENTION SHE REALLY LIKES IT THERE!) WERE WAITING SIX MONTHS NOW AND IM FLYING OUT IN JUNE 09, WE LL GO TO THAILAND AGAIN AND WHEN I RETURN TO UK SHE WILL HAVE AGAIN ALL SUPPORTING DOCS AND FINANCES SHOWING ME HAVING ABOUT ABOUT £3000 IN BANK ACCOUNT AND £1000 IN SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND WERE APPLYING FOR A FIANCE VISA THIS TIME.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OUR CHANCES ARE AND WOULD THE PREVIOUS REFUSAL IMPACT THE ECO DECISION.
ALL ADVISE AND INFO WOULD BE GREATFULLY RECIEVED,
THANKS PEOPLE. Sammy.

you should not apply for 5 years u know,at least go straight to fiancee or married here, what makes of not marrying here straight though ?
On your question about the bank statement ,yes at least 3000GBP would be ok for the ECO that u can support your wife or fiancee

Oh btw, spouse is easy to obtain, how ever i never heard of a fiancee visa also denied totally from any member of this great forum
And wishing you goodluck on future application.also it wont affect any of your future application about the denied result on that 5 years visit visa u applied b4,as long as you been satisfied the ECo that you have sufficient funds

In terms of cash, as well as having some savings, it is useful to remember that your fiance is not allowed to work. Therefore, it may be useful to prove that you can support your fiance to at least the same level as any payments she would receive if she was able to claim benefits here.

Also, don't forget the sponsorship undertaking form. We were told that was required when my fiancee went to VFS (conflicting advice on this front), so I would suggest you include it.

hi
ive checked the UK Border Agency site and the sponsorship undertaking form (SU07/1) seems to be only for relatives and all the questions are allready covered in the VAF4 form and sponsors letter of invite.but as your the respected member i will submit it anyway, the VFS clerk can only bin it or forward it when my fiancee applies.
still a newbie and learning, Thanks ADY

No ,Ady is right, for sure VFS staff wont put it into bin,i just notice some members didn't bother to do it,but sometimes VFS staff ask for it, in my case they did ,Anyway the more supporting documents the better :xxgrinning--00xx3:
