Good to see Kingston council manage to keep the record up. When i was younger it was a running joke if they grited the road it was unlikely to have frost or ice that night:rolleyes: If they didn't we knew that we should get the sledge out:D

Possibly out in the sticks but in London we normally measure the snow in mm's possibly nano metres so the salt on the roads keeps them clear:D

Not quite....snow is extremely low density, and so when it lands very little is in contact with the ground.....therefore also not the salt. Only when it is churned up by traffic and mixed in will it work.

I'll take your word for it, see so little snow being a Londoner i was almost as excited as the missus:D normally the snow lightly covers the ground and then gone by the time you have blinked. We have a beautiful green near us and we were the first to go there this morning to take pictures etc and the missus upload on her beloved Friendster before the sun was fully up:D

I then decided to work from home, as i felt i should follow the recommendation to stay of the roads. Jeez how many property shows on BBC 1 in the morning so dam boring almost made me start working:omg: Luckily i found the remote without moving from my chair so didn't need to take such drastic action.
