Don't worry Shayla, perhaps you'd get some news this week. I'm sure it's approved, there's no reason to deny your application. :xxgrinning--00xx3: Why would they let you wait this long just to refuse it? If there was a problem with your application they would have called you in by now for an interview or would have contacted you earlier to submit more documents. I'm sure everything's fine. :) Think positive! and besides, some have even waited for 12 weeks so you're still within the time frame. Try not to panic and relax.

Thanks Jen,hopefully it's not long the wait now coz it's killing me for waiting another 2-3 weeks to make it exactly 3 months. I agree with you.. patience is a virtue anyway so I'll wait and see for the next few weeks!. Thanks girl for cheering me up. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Hi Ate Sheila,
Thank you for making me less sad :). Anyway I will sacrifice for another 2-3 weeks then that's it done.
But I can't deny that sometimes there are things in my mind which made me worried but still I'm hoping to get a positive result soon.
I wish you luck also. By the way, how long you been waiting for your visa result?
Keep in touch :xxgrinning--00xx3:!.

Ate Regina, thanks for your message!. I truly appreciate it.
Yeah I thought that too coz one of my friends applied for a spouse visa and she told me that if ever there's problem with regards of my application the Embassy will be going to inform me 2 weeks before the frame time.Like her, she got a phone call saying that she needs to undergo for an interview. Exactly 10 weeks she got her visa and she's living in Bedford now.Hopefully mine will be okay coz I'm dying to be with my husband.
I will let everyone knows here for whatever result I get.
Thanks a lot!. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I know that and everyone here sacrificed a lot. It's like a game that we really want to win in the end.
My husband and I waited for almost 2 years to apply a spouse visa and now this is it coz at first I was refused with a visit visa for 6 months.
I'm hoping that this time will be the right time for me to get a positive result pretty soon so we can be together with my husband in the UK.
Thanks once again!. Take an extra care and may God bless us all.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Hello AJS,
Thanks for the number you have given me.It really helps me to pay less because the hotline number for VFS is expensive and it's 32 pesos per minute. Anyway I will phone that number this coming Monday if ever there's no result yet.
Thanks for the encouragement. Take care and God bless us all.

Thanks for the advice!.

4th February 2009, 13:35
You know that "Interviews" all depends if the Embassy feels like they want to clarify some thing regarding your application.
So if you think there's nothing to be clarified then I don't think an interview is necessary.
But then again...always be prepared for one, because as we know based on the experience of one of our member, they do make Phone Interviews now.
Goodluck!

Hi Mavid,
Thanks for being thoughtful.I'm always prepared and whatever I don't mind as long as they wont refuse my visa lol.
They can interview me either on the phone or in person anytime and I will be confident to answer them cos I'm genuine so with that there's nothing to fear.

Hello my friend Kimmi,
I think the ECO will do the background checking but as long as we are a genuine applicant then there's nothing to fear :xxgrinning--00xx3:.
Anyway in my case, do you think the ECO will allow my daughter to fly alone without me for not having a visa?..well I submitted all the documents required and also evidences which will help with my application and the copies of her valid passports..:)

They are more strict I think with the age to those people planning to get married in the UK..

Thanks Tony,
I received an email from ManilaVisaEnquiries@fco.gov.uk and said that there's no updates still regarding my visa application so with that I'll keep waiting and more patience till the ECO will get sick looking and checking with my papers.. hehe...
I just want them to phone me or email me soon as possible if ever there's an interview because it's too hard to sit down and wait here for the result.
Yeah hoping that the waiting will be over..Thanks a lot and God bless u too!.:):):)
Surely they know a genuine case ?
i cannot see why they can't issue it now,i know they can be busy but
surely 11 weeks is plenty of time for them to make a decision.
It just makes me annoyed when i hear of people who suffer this long wait
when there is no need !
maybe if the ECO understood how painful it is to be apart from your Loved one it would be different ?
do they understand our feelings /
Are they human by the way or machines programmed by the government ?
hope you will receive it this week anyway !
God bless you !

Hello Tony,
I'm genuine applicant and we submitted all the documents required by them and also some papers who will help us with our application..
I think the ECO don't realize how hard it is to be apart with your loved one. I was thinking maybe they double check everything because my case is I'm under 21 but legally married here in the Philippines with a british baby.
I really pray and hope to hear a positive result so soon because my husband and I are too stressed with this.. The Embassy or UKVAC never email me or phone me if there's lacking documents or like interview..I just don't know why this is taking so long..I'm pissed but there's no other choice but to wait..
Thanks a lot and God bless everyone! :xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3:

Hello Chris,
You have nothing to sorry for about the girl from China.Anyway I don't mind if she got her visa earlier because maybe her case isn't too hard to handle :).
In my part the ECO is really slow or even lazy and don't want to work with my visa application..just kidding..I'm totally pissed off for waiting too long but what will be will be..
In Gods time it will come and really I'm expecting to have a positive result as usual..I really don't know how the ECO will work out the visa because some here never waited for long time for the visa processing..I just can think that maybe it took longer due to the new rules recently made:NoNo::NoNo::NoNo::NoNo::NoNo:
I'm keeping my fingers crossed with my visa result :xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3:

Why are people waiting so long in Manila compared with other embassies? Is it a sheer amount of applications? I note they [Manila] are also a hub for HK, Japan and South Korea applications too! How many ECOs are there? And, how much work is involved in each application? I believe there are 40,000 applications a year at Manila - meaning 150 applications processed daily? If there were 10 ECO's that would make each application about 30 minutes in a 7.5 hour day.
Hang in there Praise.

The fact the Embassy in Manila became a hub for HK etc. in January may be a reason some of these applications are taking longer than anticipated. I gather some 're-structuring' of the visa section is required to handle the increased volume of work.

Hello Bea,
Probably right it will take 3-4 months because recently they launch the new visa processing time guide.I don't mind waiting as long as in the end it's good news.
Thanks and I will update u soon..
Take care!.

Try not to focus so much on the visa, although i know this will not be easy it only makes time go slowly by.:CompBuster:
Enjoy the sun and inexpensive food as you will be wishing for all the Filipino soon enough after you are here a while..:Help1:

It's really sunny here and I will surely miss this weather so much as well as my family and friends when I'm leaving soon but that's if the ECO will grant my visa..:Erm:
I'm trying to enjoy myself with my daughter and family to less my excitement about waiting at the same time to less my nervous because lately I was very stressed and bothered..:D
Thanks and hope your keeping well..:xxgrinning--00xx3:
