Hi, I wonder and ask on behalf of my fiancé's sister...
she have been offered a work in the UK as a nanny, for a single man there. uuuhm for the children.
This seems to me a bit odd, that someone wants to hire help all the way from the phil, and go all the way with paperworks and airline tickets
... or is this just common practice to look up people from datingsites?

How can we know she wount be scamed into some bad business?

would be interresting to see your thoughts ;)

regards P

Getting a work permit to come to the UK to work as a nanny is impossible (unless you have been previously employed by the family).

It may or may not be a scam, but either way she won't be working here.

This seems to be a single divorced or widowed father with 2 kids, looking for a nanny at a dating site in Philippines. Then he looks out suitable nannys from their profile, and sends them a work offer. (no harm in that, but it looks too good to be true). She got offered a job, after showing a CV and the papers will pe processed by a travel agency in the UK, and or will processed in the Phil, with assistance from the travel agency.

comments please...

As I've just said there is no way that he can help her to get a work permit to come here to work as a nanny in a domestic household.

It just sounds dodgy - do people really pick people off a dating site, arrange for them to come to the UK to look after their kids without meeting them?

Just make sure she doesn't send him any money via western union for fees.

Is there any way i can checkup phone numbers, and verify a travel agency?
I tried the yell.co.uk, and nothing there about the given agency that shuld assist in the quest. (i will not put too much info in here, just to be careful).
EDIT: I did google the given name of the person in the agency, and the agency itself, and nothing shows up.

Yeah, it sounds dodgy.. just too good to be true if you ask me.
But yes its real, and my "sis" is about to prepair papers and stuff to send over to the UK. I told them that we shuld just do some research first.

im sure its a scam. The person hiring her should know her for atleast a year or she's been working with her sponsor previously. I am not sure if domestic helper is part of PBS now.

... this is an OUT & OUT SCAM

Firstly, as others have said... it's impossible to employ a nanny from the Philippines,

Secondly, if the guy is naive or stupid, and doesn't realise the rules, the LAST thing he is likely to do is "introduce" a travel agency.

... this "story" of his will run for a while, then the travel agency will ask for money to either "process" your application, or for the airfare (via Western Union usually).
He will then "explain" that this will be paid back to you when u arrive in the UK, as "proof" that you really want the job.

... and that will never happen
.. and you will NEVER see your money again.

I suggest your sister complains about him to the dating site ... and let them investigate.

Stay lucky

How much information do you know about the agency and the person offering the job? Do you have addresses and landline telephone numbers (not mobile numbers)?

Yup this stinks... and seems i get the more confirmimations i get, the more suspichious i get from very good advicees from you good people. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

The saying in this is that he tried to hire before, but unfortenatly the other filipinas run off after the visas was granted. So that he asked the she would cover half the expenses, and it would be paid back after arrival.

Seems like a good idea to give this person to the admin of that dating site,
so that they should investigate him.

Harley Street? Interesting location for a travel agency..... And only mobile numbers as well. The domain totallyintotravel.com doesn't provide any contact details either.

Please tell you fiancee's sister to stop wasting her time.

I really need you to come over here to assist me take proper care of my family because am usually out and feel its bad leaving my kids alone at home at all time so I really would appreciate you make things work out but since you do not have visa, I will recommend my agency to you. (travelworld@totallyintotravel.com) is their link, they assist my company in processing visas for staffs, work permit and documents to their foreign employers so If you contact them let them know you are from XXXX .....and I want to tell you that I will be responsible for the refund of your payment for the processing of your documents, when you arrive to my family
Sounds familiar ?

If you throw totallyintotravel scam into a google-type search it makes interesting reading

totallyintotravel.com

is registered to AOL domains - I think its the expired get a free domain with AOL offer or MyEaddress as its called. I'm sure AOL abuse would love to hear that their mail servers are being used for dodgy things like this, so its best to forward this to TOSEmail1@aol.com (TOSEmail1@aol.com)

Just post a few details on here and I'm sure someone will give you their opinion.

Though if it's a "nanny opportunity" in the UK then it's almost certainly a scam.

David Kingston (agent)
Sandra Hutchings (accountant), person we sent the money to.
We have already sent 300 pounds for the work permit.
Dr. John Klaus and Sandra Hutchings have the same address and phone number, why is that?

Also, there are two different addresses for the agent:
UK Visa Border Agent
Floor 28
30 St Mary Ave
London EC3A 8BF

and also

True. Dateline NBC had an investigative report on this that I had watched in youtube. They traced back the email and the money transfers and it ended in Nigeria. Had the change to talk to the scammer himself but can't arrest him as they can't associate a crime for that (at that time) :doh
