I think I mentioned it before that I live in a share accomodation with 4 diff people (international nationalities:D me, filipino, African, Chinese and Czech) I refused to live my co-filipinos bec its quite hard in a sense that we filipinos like "tampo" we are much better if we are not together aside from some special ocassions and work of course.
Anyway, my Q's is the 4 of us sharing same internet connection/broadband. Do you think is it safe doing that..? how about that wireless broadband offered by cellphone company are they okay? Thanks

If you chat with someone and you didn't delete all your cookies, history etc., I can detect what webpage, whom you chatted with, and some info. That is if we use same PC/laptop.
The best thing you do is to delete and clean all your histories/cookies after using your pc.
Click START-PROGRAMS-ACCESORIES-SYSTEM TOOLS-DISK CLEAN UP. Then choose all you want to delete:D
you can make a shortcut so you don't need to browse too much.
You can also try this:
Look for the TOOLS (beside page) on the upper right of your explorer.
Click INTERNET OPTIONS, CLICK DELETE ALL AND THEN CLICK OK. that will delete all your coockies and histories, passwords used etc.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

your better getting your own portable or pc and let no one have access to it,
the problem is if your using a shared pc, someone could install a key logger, which would store everything you typed in a hidden file. so don't use a shared pc if you use online banking, pay pal, ebay etc :NoNo:

My room is only a place to sleep really most of the time I am at work. I can't get my own flat bec its not worth it just me living on it then paying all the bills (may be £600/month if Im lucky). Unlike the place where I am now I am paying £300/month including all the bills its an ensuite coz I don't like sharing toilet/bath with anybody:NoNo:

The wirless companies like vodafone and the like, are ok if your not a heavy user. But be careful of signal and how many people use it in the local area. In central london often when working you get full bars and 3g + but the connection is poor as so many people logged on.
Best to speak to people who live in the same area as you using the same service.
Are you near a major road/railway/carpark/ resturants/cafes college/uni or workplace
as many people use 3g now on phones and with laptops etc this can affect your signal.
If you have your own laptop and 3g widget/dongle then your pretty safe from people around you detecting what you doing.
If you have a wireless router plugged into the phone system it depends on the encryption system you use and avaiable, dont use wep its easily cracked wpa is ok.
Some really devious person could hack into the router but unlikely.
But do be careful of shared connections if one of the others carried out ilegal actvity then depending on the circumstances you may have some proving its not you. Also if others download lots they may use up the monthly usage or use it when you want to making the connection sometimes slower.
Also with any contracts worth looking into the future as some quite long and depends on how long your flat share is.Also whose name is it in who pays etc.

thanks. the phone is in our landlord's name and the broadband but she give me the authority to open the phone/broadband bills then post it in our kitchen so everyone knows. Nobody using the phone bec we have our own cellphone. It is enabled so nobody can't use it except us. Although sometimes it is slow specially when most of us using it and its annoying. I am not sure what they're doing if they're downloading etc I can't get my own phone/broadband just bec its not my house. I must admit i used internet a lot specially watching in you tube for some pinoy programs that's how i spend my spare time this days. I don;t download stuff like music or movies aside from I don't know how to do it and its not my cup of tea I just want surfing and chatting with my family and friends back home.
