Liverpool deserved to lose last night for different reasons.
Without Gerrard they are a very average team.
Paying 7m for Dossena then playing him
And finally the mean reason they are out of the Fa Cup;

Gentlemen,
It was not really about Liverpool last night.
It was about Everton.
Liverpool are the better team there's no doubt, with all their spending power and experience in Europe, but Everton are now a very hard team to beat.
We drew twice at Anfield and outplayed the reds at Goodison.
We wanted to win, and it showed from all accounts as I am in Phils at the moment.
I am proud of Everton especially as we have no attack with all our injuries.
We have a long way to go yet, but we are progressing very nicely :xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3:

I put Everton on par with Villa, good all round team, decent keeper, strong defense, just short of decent strikers. Can't score for TOFFEE. :icon_lol:

You've got that right :NoNo:
No fit strikers and even if they were all back and fit, we'd still struggle to score more than one goal in a game, even against the teams at the bottom of the table.
Come back Bob Latchford.
Still, I was at the "derby" cup final when Gary Stevens played a suicidal cross field ball to Ian Rush and....... I cannot continue with this...........:bigcry::bigcry:

C,mon the Toffees!
Not been for 2 years to Goodison now but love the place and the club!
" He's got red hair but we don't care, Davie Davie Moyes!" As the song goes.

I am a mad Liverpool fan but have to give credit where it is due. Although Liverpool have a better strike force (Not by much) Everton have really done well with the players they have..
My solution on winning the league - New Manager!

Thanks for complimenting us.
The most pleasing thing for me is that we are playing the ball on the deck these days instead of hoofing it and hoping.
I think Benitez is a good manager, he proved that by winning the European Cup, and he proved it in Spain before.
I know Joe will be pleased, but IMO, I think there is a big gulf between United and everyone else.
They seem to dominate so many teams with fast attractive football, and always score goals when required. PLUS, they beat the less attractive teams as well as the better ones more consistantly than anyone else.
It is as if they play everyone with the same level of commitment.
I went to Old Trafford last year to watch England play and that stadium really looks world class as well.
It makes Goodison Park look so old and worn out.
More than anything though is United's will to win, you have to take your hat off to them.
In the meantime, we are all playing catch-up.

I support both of them. Don't have a choice, my Nan will haunt me if I don't :omg:
