Hello sis:) maybe you would like to inquire @ TIB (Travel Information Bureau) in Padre Faura St. Ermita Manila. (I know its quite far from your place) Their contact numbers: 5232143/ 5230424. Kindly look for Ate Tere. Im sure she will gladly help you sort out your flight.:)

The only 2 airlines that I know of that fly direct from Manila to Birmingham are Emirates Airlines and KLM. Emirates is from Manila via Dubai to Birmingham and KLM is from Manila via Amsterdam to Birmingham. I think that even if it costs more to fly direct to Birmingham, it's worth it to avoid Heathrow or Manchester and the extra onward journey after landing, already exhausted in the UK.
Iain.

I have the number of a freelance travel agent in London who managed to get me a very reasonable price on a one way ticket from Manila to Birmingham with Emirates when we brought my step-daughter back to the UK with us in 2007. She managed to book 2 return flights from Birmingham to Manila and back for my wife and I and a one way ticket from Manila to Birmingham for my step-daughter all as one package and all of us seated together, which is something we never could have arranged by just dealing with the airline.
Her name is Aimee Secker
Phone # 01727769103
Email: aimee_seckerathotmaildotcom
As she is in the London area, I think your husband would have to contact her and arrange the booking if she can get you a good price.
Cheers,
Iain.

I booked the flight for my wife and step-son on Expedia. It was a one-way ticket for each of them priced at £422 and £317 respectively. Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong and then Virgin to Heathrow. I don`t know how long the drive is from Birmingham, could he pick you up at Heathrow? My step-son is nearly 5 years old so had a small reduction in price. If the flight is still available at £422 i`m sure the cost of petrol/diesel from Birmingham wouldn`t amount to much.

Actually I just looked on Expedia. Dont know what date your planning to fly but I entered 27/02/09 and it said £350 with Etihad Airlines. Total time 19hours.
For Cathay/Virgin the same date was £513.

If you intend to get married here in the UK. She has to apply for a fiancee visa in the PI. What do you mean by go back two weeks later?:doh:Erm:
