Hello!:Hellooo:

Does anyone out there work for Southern Cross? My Filipina wifey has applied to work for them, she's gone through all the motions of giving references and so on, she's just been asked to go in and do an induction day, so they can get a uniform that will fit her and so on...so it seems she is likely to get the job...

The thing is, what's it like working for Southern Cross? Can anyone here tell me what it's like working for the company?

I'm a bit unhappy my wifey could end up working in a care home...she has a friend she knows who is working there, I was hoping she wouldn't do care work though really..:Erm:

So what's it like working for Southern Cross?:cwm34:

Thanks for any replies in advance!:)

welcome to the world of caring job:xxgrinning--00xx3: Southern Cross is one of the biggest Care Home in the UK.....although its them who refused to pay £7.02 to many filipino carers:NoNo: who have no choice but to go back home. Its a good stepping stone for your wife working Nigel or why not encourage her to do NVQ bec she will get more money if she has NVQ. Hope she likes the job...its hard and dirty for some but job is job. I am not working with them but a few of my filipino friend works there. Good luck to her.

Nigel congrats to the better half.

At the moment any Job is a good job it seems so she has done really well and I'm sure your proud of her. Filipinas are about two million times tougher than blokes living in surrey so she should have no worries:xxgrinning--00xx3:
