hi my name is Mano.. my friend named balaji.S applied for UK student visa... he completed his first semester in Loyola college chennai and his second semester is to commenced in London Southbank University. Its actualy a twinning program. first time his visa got rejected since they are not satisfied with the relationship proof for the sponsor. So the next time we applied through a consultancy(EDU channel) clearing all these problems and provided every detail as required even enclosing the previous refusal letter, but in the application form there was a column called
"have you ever been rejected for ur visa before"

there accidentally he chose "no" in the option....

but it was pure accidental, because he had enclosed the refusal letters of the previous rejection along with the application and even then concultancy's checklist. so it is obvious that he did not do it intentionally. because if it is intentional he would not have enclosed the refusal letters.. but the visa officials hav rejected it again saying

"false declaration have been made"

we donot know how to approach this now, to explain the officials that this was not intentional. please any one help us out of this.......

cos ma friend is totally collapsed. he lost his faith..... please help us out... we need to explain them that he is purely going for his studies. It is a genuine application but due to the nervousness and consultancy guidance my friend have made this mistake.... please help us out.. pleas....

It will be hard for the ECO to believe him because they might thought that he wasn't genuine seeking for an entry clearance to United Kingdom..

I really don't know if the ECO will accept the reasoning of your friend if ever he wanted to reapply a visa or to write them down a letter stating that it was only an accident that's why in the form the answer was false.:doh:doh:doh

The ECOs are likely to be dubious of people claiming they made a genuine mistake - anyone who purposely makes false declaration could claim it was a genuine mistake if they get caught....

But as your friend did provide the previous refusal letter he might stand a chance. Has your friend appealed the decision and pointed this out?
