Hi there,

Im just new here, i really searched for this kind of site because i am bothered with my VISA Application and most especially the processing fees, actually an employer contacted me ( Blandford Hotel London ) and assist me to process my Work Permit Visa and they will provide all supporting documents for my Visa approval and they have an immigration service contacting me on their behalf to help the processing, i have passed all the requirements needed for Visa application and ask for a certain fees, until such time that i finished paying everything even the VISA Insurance and they made it to send to the british embassy here in Manila, i received a confirmation that they already received my documents from the UK but they didn't see the Refundable Deposit receipt which will be coming from the UK airport Immigration ( which i have to send 1000 pounds to them and i will refund it once i arrived in london ) my Question is : Is there really as such thing as depositing the money then will refund it later? Is it necessary though i have an evidence of support from my Employer ( like Accomodation letter included in my Documents )?

Pls HELP HELP HELP... :ARsurrender:
Anybody who knows about this?
Or if this is just a SCAM , how can i check it?

thanks win2win for the reply...

that's why i'm a bit skeptic is because yeah i know immigrations do checking on the maintenance funds of all immigrants going to the UK, in fact the last time i heard and i've read it in the news that for example for tourist they need to show / check bank accounts and even wallets on the interview just to assure that they have enough money to spend in the UK. and as per the info i received from the immigration they are doing that because last time only half of the total no. of employee expecting to work in Hotels are made to work on their respective employees and half of them were escaped and look for a higher paying job. and with that a lot of money have wasted on the part of the sponsor because they provided all supporting docs and even the air ticket ( so it costs a lot ). haaayyyy im so confused....

help to clear my mind plssssss....

Hi Joebloggs,

how did you know that it starts with +44703? yeah i think this is the direct no. of the cvacancy manager +447031854533 but the Hotels Front desk i think ( for reservation ) is +4402074863103 maybe we can call on this no. and request to redirect the call to the management office.

But i already received email from the British embassy here because i sent a suspicious email to them ( but im just checking only if it really comes from the embassy ) and they bring it to the notice of the Hotel Director and manger so the hotel manager emailed me about that and said that they were disappointed with what i did and if i have still a doubt and if i have relatives there i can ask them to come to the Hotel and meet the director and ask everything about my employment, He said anytime of the day. But the problem is i have no relatives there nor friends.... :bigcry:

Hope someone could help me ...
Thanks a lot...

There is absolutely no point in you clutching at straws, and hoping that we are wrong.:NoNo:

You are being scammed.

One clear indication is that, unfortunately for you, Hotel jobs are not in any of the High Skilled lists for points based immigration from outside the UK.

Such jobs are advertised on the National press and various Job Centres, and priority is given to UK citizens, EU citizens, Swiss Nationals and people holding a work permit, already here.

There is no way that you would be granted a work permit, in my opinion or others.

Sorry po.:NoNo:

Hello Guys.....

may i know who calls Blandford Hotel regarding my worries?
because the manager emailed me and told about it . so what do they tell you?

Bluebirdjones
3rd April 2009, 13:36
You are NOT listening .... or are failing to understand.

This is a SCAM

The number you are calling, the person you are talking to, is NOT
anything to do with the Blandford Hotel.

he is PRETENDING to be ! Understand ?

He's probably a Nigerian con-artist, who's just happened to pick the name
of that Hotel out of the phone book, or off an internet site.

No-one has talked to the Hotel.... because we all know
THE JOB DOES NOT EXIST !

You may actually find the scammer is reading this thread, and using information off here to try and convince you the job is real.

There is another thread on here where the scammer actually registered an account and posted a reply to try and convince people that his vacancy was real.

even if the job offer was real, you have little or no chance of getting a workpermit, the job has to be advertised on a job website run by the gov, and i'm sure that job will also be available to anyone at a jobcentre in the uk, so you see you got more chance of winning a lottery than getting a job in the uk, because they will have to offer the job to any suitable brit or european who applied before they can offer it to you...
