It is only necessary to stay in Phils for 21 days if your fiance applies for a CNI (Certificate of No Impediment) in the Philippines.

Your fiance can get a CNI from his local registry office in the UK, it will cost about £30 and after applying, he will have to wait 23 days for the CNI to be issued. He can then exchange the British CNI at the British Embassy in Manila or the British Consulate in Cebu, for a Filipino CNI as soon as he arrives in the Philippines. Then you only have apply for a marriage licence which varies from province to province, but usually takes 10 days. Once you have the marriage licence, you can marry whenever you want.

It is advisable for your fiance to bring his birth certificate with him as it may be required when you apply for the marriage licence and if he is divorced, he will also need to bring his divorce decree absolute document.

I believe it take 10 days to get the marriage certificate after you get married ...... by law, I think.

Like what iain said its better that your fiance apply for his cni here in uk first then have it converted there in the philippines in the british embassy for a local one. It will only take 10 days (some including saturdays and sundays, others also the 10 working days really) depending upon the place your going to marry to get marriage license. After that you can get married anytime. I think you only need the 21 days requirement period of stay in the Philippines if the british cni was not done here in the uk in the first place. Its one of the requirements before the consul can give you the local cni. And marriage certificate i think sometimes takes so much time to be produced especially NSO in the philippines as well as the local registry takes so much time to process it. Hope this helps:)

You can have it converted to the local CNI at the British Embassy and this can be done while you wait (20 minutes or so) and without making an appointment, but I believe that if you want to go to the British Consulate in Cebu you must make an appointment first.

It will only take 10 days (some including saturdays and sundays, others also the 10 working days really) depending upon the place your going to marry to get marriage license.

The 10 days is the waiting period for the marriage licence and it depends on the province where you apply for your marriage licence whether it will be 10 days in total or 10 working days, counting only Monday to Friday as qualifying days.
