Makes me hungry huh! Make sure Sis he still have enough stock of sinigang powder, hehehe..... Just give me a buzz if he run out of powder, i still have here. I can send him anytime (another surprise) as i noticed he add 2 sachet of powder. Looks delicious except the vegetables Sis, hehehe....

You're welcome. Yes he likes carrots in his Sinigang. The carrot doesn't overtake the real taste of the Sinigang anyway :xxgrinning--00xx3: As he said...it just adds a little more color too.

I use spring onion instead of leek. Will try leek next time. I used red raddish but no carrots:D
I just planted my kangkong, okra, talong, ampalaya, pechay and chilli in our greenhouse yesterday. :BouncyHappy::BouncyHappy: I'm excited for my new filipino recipe in a month or so:Hellooo::BouncyHappy:

my hubby doesn't like sinigang though i still cook it for me and our son yujin. i use pok choi for alternative of kangkong... can't find gabi and raddish though.

Thank you Adam & Chryss. Pok Choi is another gd alternative, I agree :xxgrinning--00xx3: We usually get gabi (Baby Taro closest we can get) and raddish (Mooli) in Tesco.

I have shown the video to my husband and asked him if i cook sinigang what does he prefer the pork belly (liempo) or the short ribs and he prefers the latter. I haven't tried it yet.:)

I hope so Mavid. I was told by a filipina friend she said her English husband doesn't like sinigang. It looks like "pinaghugasan ng pinggan" (the water in the basin left after washing the dishes):omg:. Well, not everyone is gourmet.

We have found kangkong in a Chinese supermarket in Leeds, we can get gabi and mooli in the Pakistani shops close by :)
I use tamarind rather than sinigang powder but mrsjarv says it is sweet tamarind and ayaw mo lol
Nice video though I also liked the Tagalog ones sobra mabuti

Ahhh thought so Im in Leicester so not so far away and hoping to submit the fiance visa application end of next month so keep the cooking classes coming so I can be ready for when she gets here!

i love ampalaya so as my son.. been looking for that too but can't find it. i thought when i was in Tesco the cucumber there was an ampalaya, really looks like one :)
so sad no chinese and filipino stores near us :NoNo:
