H e l p marriage notice

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OOPS,,

The documents should be submitted when giving notice which has to be 6 weeks before wedding??

Our wedding is provisionally booked 24th june and application for fiance visa is still with the eco(4weeks past now)

Can anyone please suggest what we can do if we re unable to have registrars required documents on time.

When we apply notice for the registrar ,they said at least been in the UK for 15 days..so I guess you need to concentrate on visa...then dont bother giving notice for while, when i arrived here we just give notice and we wait for 2 weeks for the "
CERTIFICATE FOR MARRIAGE"
So the answer on your question should be "NO" (not 6 weeks)

Hi Pat.

How long is a piece of string. BluebirdJones was processed in 4 weeks, for us it was 8 weeks. Some were even longer - so I would say expect to wait 12 weeks from filing the application.

Good luck to you!!!

Hi Pat... we all have no clue on how long or how fast it can take them to process an application... my only tip is to try preoccupy yourself into doing other things to make you busy so you will not notice the time hehehe

That's what i did...and time flew by. I recently received my Fiance Visa and it took them less than 5 weeks to decide. It was even a surprised because I only phoned them to tell them I am going to fax additional supporting documents then the lady said No Need because you will be getting your documents back within this week. So it was a nice surprise. :)

Hope you get your visa soon. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

... yes ... 4weeks & 2 days in our case ...
.. but I'd expected 8weeks... so ......

Re; the provisional marriage booking etc ...

It's not THAT relevant.
We submitted NO paperwork regarding a provisional booking, reception, etc
etc

I merely stated "When XXXX arrives, we intend getting married as soon as
practically possible".

... so don't worry yourself to death about it

My best wishes on the outcome

I was thinking the time scales, but yes i suppose we can alter wedding date if need be.:D

We will do plan B now,in the event of visa refusal
I believe the appeal process is at least 4 to 6 months or more?
for fiance visa,is it possible for my fiance to come here on visit visa while this is in process??
:Erm:
