I was informed a number of years ago that if a Filipino was living in UK but as a Filipino national with Filipino passport that any earnings needed to be declared to both UK and Philippine tax offices. I wondered if the situation was the same or had changed?

As a Filipina is now my wife and soon (after she receives her FLR(M) Identity Card) she will be allowed to work here. She will be paying UK tax but i wondered (if the law has not changed) if Philippine tax office would notify her of her obligations if we told them of our marriage in Uk (as long as she still has a Filippina passport).

Have tax laws now changed in Fil?

Hi John, she'll only be paying income tax to Phil gov't if she derives income from the Phil. For example, if she has a business in the Phil where she earns an income, then naturally she'll be obliged to pay income tax.
