myself and my mahal are about to apply for a fiance visa and reading this in a website on marriage in glasgow stopped me in my tracks as i dont ever recall reading about this "certificate of approval" on any thread can someone please throw some light onto it thanks in advance

If you are applying for a fiancee visa then you don't have to worry about a 'certificate of approval' - the fiancee visa is your approval to get married in the UK.

If your mahal was in the UK on a student visa, work visa, etc then you would need to apply for a COA.

thank you for that answer as it puts my mind to rest now thats one less thing to worry about getting it will drive me :Cuckoo: but worth it in the end
