Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing great.
I would like to ask for suggestions on how to communicate cheaper from the UK to the Philippines via call and text. My boyfriend gets charged 95pence to call me for a minute.:S It's more practical for me to call since I'm only charged 15 pesos per minute.
Also, I might be moving to Middle East so I don't yet if I can afford to call him from there.
I would really appreciate your suggestions on how to call or text outside the UK cheaper than that 95 pence a minute. Thank you very much in advance.

try searching the forum but as the costs of calls change all the time you need to double check?

Yes from his mobile phone. But he is charged 95p. That's why we cant stay very long on the phone when he would call.
I'm online mostly online these days so we don't have to talk on the phone but since I might be moving, we will have communication problems until I have settled.

Set your YM ID to mobile device and ask your boyfriend to do the same. Whoever is online will get to send messages to the other. He can even call you via Skype, it's cheaper. Ask him to do some research.

There are loads of cheap services that bounce your mobile calls via VOIP so you only pay the cost of a local call on your phone bill, and 7-10p minute to the provider.
I use rebtel (do a search) which seems pretty reliable, although I sometimes have to call 2 or 3 times to get a connection. It means I can talk to my fiancee for 20 minutes for the price of a Starbucks Cappucino :)
