Hi everyone,
as promised a few weeks back before my travelling escapades I would like to arrange for a get together of our midlands based couples. There is a huge car boot sale every Sunday morning just outside Studley(Redditch). I have yet to meet a Filipina who does not enjoy such an event so and the local pub is close by for us hubbies whilst our honeys scour the site for all manner of "it was cheap" and "it will go in the balikbayan box" items
BOSS I HOPE LINK IS OKAY
http://www.studleycarbootsale.co.uk/
As for dates we could try and make a double event by meeting early say 9.30 am at the car boot and going on to the Barrio Fiesta in Birmingham on the 21st June (down side is that the pub is not open at that hour) or go for July 5th or 12th. Give me some feedback on dates and we will see what works for the majority
hope to see you soon :BouncyHappy::BouncyHappy::BouncyHappy:

Hi Scott,
Birmingham Barrio Fiesta is on the 28th and 29th, but maybe that's what you meant to write, unfortunately Louella is working all that weekend, but were OK for both the 5th or the 12th of July. Were also OK for the 21st of June if that's what you did mean to write. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
Cheers,
Iain.

Hi Iain,
just spoke to Marlo the president of Filipino assoc of Birmingham, the fiesta is 20th/21st however I have just realised that 21st is also fathers day so perhaps not the best day so 5th or 12th looks better.

12-th looks good for me too so far :xxgrinning--00xx3: - nothing planned for that weekend yet although I'm not 100% sure if I won't have some work duties. Hopefully not...:CompBuster:
Pity my mahal isn't here yet :bigcry:

Oh I see, well Ligaya is home most days with little prince and can get a bit bored. Do you know the bus system well to come to Harborne or perhaps I could get you girls to meet up in town centre one day during the week.

Well here I am waiting to board a flight from Shanghai to Dubai amd I thought I would remind anyone interested in this planned get together on Saturday 11th at the Studley car boot sale. If the wetaher is good it is great fun for our ladies and us blokes can always bring a couple of beers. I think we should plan to meet up at a certain time say 10am (it can get very busy getting in any later but I appreciate some may have over an hours travel.
welcome to any thoughts/proposals on this suggestion, I am back home on Wednesday but can check the thread when ever I am not in the air
Dubai here I come (lucky me is staying at the Burj al arab) courtesy of an old client of mine at the Jumeirah beach Co. :BouncyHappy::BouncyHappy::BouncyHappy::BouncyHappy:

Having just got back from my travels I checked the website for the Studley car boot sale and guess what. jenky is right it is held on SUNDAYs. So the planned gathering will be this SUNDAY 12TH not 11th as previously indicated.
LEAH, this means you and your honey can attend without interfering with his birthday.
SORRY GUYS but I have been real busy whizzing around the world and just did not check properly. I hope you can all still turn up.

That's what I thought.... and guess what, the weather forecast for tomorrow (Saturday) looks dreadful, whereas Sunday's weather forecast looks quite promising. See you there Scott.

It was fun. The sun arrived just as most of us got there. Leah(less than one week in the UK) got to meet Louella, Janet, Annilyn, Jane, Cynthia and Ligaya. We retired to the Horse and Jockey for lunch (2 for 1 main meals are always a hit with Filipinas) and the men discussed music, cricket and the anual trips to the Phils.
