Hi everyone,

My name is Steve. I have just met a beautiful girl from the Philipines while staying in Singapore. I am now back in the Uk and miss her so much, so I will be picking some of your brains to try to work out the best and easiest ways to either bring her back to the Uk, or for me to go to the Philipines, maybe marry her.

Thanks
Steve

the best way is to visit her in the philippines and then after visiting her in Philippines, apply fiancee visa...or you can also marry her in Phil and apply spousal visa.....

Hi,
I think you should know if you want to marry her and go down the spousal visa route, or get engaged and apply for a fiancee visa.
"maybe" seems like you are not too sure at the moment?
If you love her, best to get married in the Philippines IMO.
Best of luck and welcome here.

What a warm welcome, thank you everyone. I have met quite a few people from the Filipines over the years, I worked in Saudi Arabia and there are many from the Filipines there.
You know, I just want to be happy, and I think I can be with my girlfriend. Marriage is definately on the cards. Charito (my gf's name) is such a sweet beautiful and caring girl, she has a son back home, but I don't mind, I really think we have a future, so any help form you guys will be so great. I will look at the links posted.
I think that my only problem will be that her 'ex' back home is not playing, and holding back her final divorce paperwork, any ideas here?

Thanks again for the welcome, makes me feel like one of the crowd. :)

This is where it gets difficult.....:NoNo:

There is no such thing as "Divorce" in the Philippines, they call it "Anulment" and it is a totally Filipino way of getting to feed lawyers and judges and ex husbands, especially if the BF is a Kano....:NoNo:

She can start proceedings any time she likes, and there is nothing, as far as I know, for the husband to hold back.

It is a long winded and expensive affair and I suggest very strongly not to be seen with your girlfriend in public as you may both be charged with adultery, the consequences may be horrible.
