Hey Guys it's Father's Day soon.
To all Fathers and soon to become father, Happy Father's Day.
Can you tell something about your dad and dad in law?
What is your presence/gift? Any idea?

My Dad in Pinas died at 74. The last time we have seen each other was at the NAIA airport as I was bound for Taiwan. He was crying and I hugged him tight. He was suffering from dementia that time so I felt really devastated leaving my beloved Dad. He died on 29th of August which is my mother's birthday.:doh They were happy celebrating my Mom's b-day and he slept and never awoke:Brick:
Happy birthday Dad! I know you're in heaven and I can feel it as you are the best dad in the world and you are my hero:cwm38:

I'm planning to buy a cake from M&S for my dad in law. He is a man of few words. His favourite words are YES Dear to my Mom. I feel he has everything. He retired from work at 75.

Happy Fathers Day:BouncyHappy::BouncyHappy::cwm12:

Can you tell something about your dad?

Yes ... he's long-dead. But I'm sure, he'd be the first to appreciate my black humour! :3:

:bigcry: I'm truly sorry to hear that Penny. Dementia is a terrible affliction, and you, your mom and his entire family must all have been devastated. Alas, the last time I saw my dad happened to be only a few hours before he suffered a sudden, fatal heart attack. He was also in his mid-seventies at the time of HIS death ... which was totally unexpected, in the sense that he'd always been a very fit and active person.

More than two decades have passed since, but he's still very much in my thoughts ... especially on Fathers Day!
God Bless.

:Erm: Changed days, eh? My maternal grandad was a tradesman for nearly 60 years ... retiring at the age of 73 in 1954. He then went on to live for a further quarter of a century, went to bed one night and simply slept away at the age of almost 98!

I realise it's not the "proper" thing to do! Nonetheless, in an unusual break with tradition, I've already hinted to my son what I'd LIKE for Father's Day ... a recently-published crime novel by well-known Scots author, Quentin Jardine. It's called 'Fatal Last Words' :yikes: ...

... yup ... believe it or not guys, I DO actually allow myself SOME spare time (though there isn't much OF it, I must admit) to catch-up on a spot of stimulating reading. So, if I don't happen to be around [the forum] for a day or two, you'll know the reason why. Will I be missed? I doubt it! ... since few members of 'the hierarchy' here seem to take my hard-earned rep points seriously. Awww!:bigcry:

Thanks Arthur. I looked after my dad for about 4 years whilst he suffering from dementia because he was always in bad mood with my mom since he got that terrible sickness. But stranged as he remembers WW2 when he was at war. He became good temper again and I started working abroad.
