24th February 2009: Posted the completed Tax Credit Claim Form.
31st March 2009 : Received a letter.
*We are sorry, but we have not been able to process your tax credits claim bec. we cannot trace a National Insurance number for you.
We have sent your details to your local Jobcentre Plus ofiice. They will contact you to arrange an appointment so you can discuss this with them.*
6th April 2009 : Received a National Insurance Number Appointment Letter
We had to cancel this because i was 37 weeks pregnant. We called tax credit and told them my situation but they insisted that I need the NI number to process our tax credit claim.
14th April 2009 : Gave birth with a 9.2lbs baby boy and we named him Isaac Yohan (out of topic but kinda related :D ). Few days later husband made an appointment for my NI Number.
21st April 2009 : Had my Jobcentre appointment and interview.
27th April 2009 : I got my National Insurance Number. Few days after husband called tax credit to let them know my NI number.
7th May 2009 : letter from tax credit.
*We need some more information from you before we can deal with your claim. Please fill in the enclosed form and send it back to us with the documents we have asked for at question 9. (Yujin's passport and birthcertificate) *
9th May 2009 : letter from Tax Credit. (Tax Credit Decision)
*We have looked at your claim for tax credits which we received on 26/02/2009. We are sorry to tell you that you do not qualify for tax credits for the following reason: You have not provided the information we asked for to enable us to process your claim*
I called tax credit to confirm about this. The man I spoke with said to disregard the letter for they're still waiting for Yujin's documents.
13th May 2009 : letter from tax Credit (exactly the same letter we received 7th May 2009 :NoNo:
19th May 2009 : letter from Tax credit. (Returning Yujin's documents)
22nd May 2009: letter from Tax Credit.
*Thank you for your claim for tax credits. I need some more information before I can decide if you should be paid tax credits. Please provide the information asked below by 21 June 2009:
- Your P60s and )45s for the tax year ended 5 April 2009
- A recent statement of Child Benefit entitlement, including reference number
- Birth certificates for you and your children
- All documentation that confirms your child's permanent residence in your care including: legal correspondence relating to custody, letters/forms from school, letters/forms/bills relating to the children's healthcare, bank books/statements receipts or bills for clothing/food/hobbies/etc.
- Statements from all your bank and building society accounts for the last three months.
(Please provide original documentation not photocopies)
28th May 2009 : Received a call from Tax Credit asking for another bank account because they can't send the tax credit claim to Barclays. So my husband had to open an account in another bank :doh
10th June 2009: letter from Tax Credit.
*I am pleased to tell you that I have completed my checks and I have accepted your tax credit claim. A letter which explains your tax credits award and your right to appeal if you do not agree with this award will be sent to you seperately.
11th June 2009 : letter from tax Credit (Returning all our documents)
Few days ago husband checked his account and the Child Tax Credit Award has been deposited there :BouncyHappy:
