Have I made a mistake in setting up my membership?
There have been no acknowledgements or welcomes from anyone, everyone else shows replies except me!!.
Hope someone gets back to show all is ok.

Thanks for the welcome messages, I feel at home already.
My Hubby & I are off to the Philippines for 8 weeks this dec, can't wait.
Home is Camiling, Tarlac. We are planning to retire there as soon as we sell our guest house here in scotland, (anyone interested??)
My husband , Roy, loves it there and has so many barkadas.

Thanks for the welcome James, don't understand your "no fiesta" comment. We went along, enjoyed meeting old & new friends, Roy bought his favourite Nagaraya (adobo flavour)watched the singing & dancing.
Would have been better outside so there could have been hot food stands, barbecues etc, but the weather here is too unpredictable.

:doh Believe me, it DID! My wife and I were THERE, and the Sports Arena at the Kelvin Hall was thronged with Filipinos and their families by mid-afternoon. So much so, that at times, it was easy to imagine I was back in Davao.

Hi Billy,

Firstly, I'd like to join the others here in welcoming you to the forum. Secondly, I'm glad you enjoyed the Fiesta ... so did WE! But so, too, it appeared, did most - if not ALL - who had made the effort to attend [judging by the "sea" of smiling faces around the area where my wife and I were seated] and applaud :appl: not only the two celebrated artistes, but also the brilliant antics of a host of other performers ... many of whom were young kids of pre-school age. And all this for the "princely" sum of £1 per head, registration fee. Truly amazing! Roll-on the next high-calibre event of this nature!

Thirdly, good luck to you and Roy in selling your guesthouse.

Are there any Filipino stores here in UK which sell Emperador? It is my favourite.
That & Red Horse! When we are in Phils, we have designated 5pm as" Red Horse time" all my barkadas gather for pulotan & drink.

By the way, I'm posting on my wife's behalf!!

All booked up for 8 weeks holiday, got a great deal with KLM from Edinburgh, only £461 all included :BouncyHappy:
Roy is planning to excavate our fish ponds, just an excuse to have lots of helpers around , to cook ,fish & drink Emperador.
The biggest problem now is sorting out Xmas gifts to take home:Erm:
BTW , Thanks to all of you who welcomed me onto this site:Hellooo:
