Just registered with this site. Good to know there are people about who seem to share the same interests as myself!

Am off to the Philippines soon - 10 September. Please can someone tell me how much is the airport tax and when do I pay it? I haven't been back for more than 10 years hence am not sure about this. Also, how much luggage can I take with me there and back?

Airport Tax:Erm:you mean Travel Tax, if it's not included from your plane ticket Economy Class is 1,620 pesos and a terminal fee 750 pesos :Erm:but wait from other replies and about the luggage capacity they said normally is 20 kg.:)

Hallo there am off to PI in august as well I have book my flight via cebu pacific air and the luggage allowance is 15 kg.if you avail this prepaid luggage allowance online you will get 20 percent off usually it cost you about 400 pesos at airport per 5 kg extra.I know Philippine airlines is still 20 kg.I have booked my domestic flight via cebu pacific air coz they`re using the centenial airport now and that save me time transfering from one airpot to the other coz philippine airline as far as I know still on the old airport and I only have less than an hour to transfer from one plane to the other:doh.Hope that helps:xxgrinning--00xx3:

On the two occasions when I journeyed to the Phils last year, I flew Singapore Airlines and its subsidiary Silkair. I'd NO Travel Tax to pay, :NoNo: as this was included in the Economy Class fare; likewise, on the return trip. However, coming back again, I'd to [unexpectedly] stump up 550 pesos :REGamblMoney01HL1: Departure Tax on leaving Davao International. Don't know what the other Philippine airports charge ... with the exception of Manila, which is/was 750Php.

I understand the baggage allowance at check-in is something like 20kg and [if my memory serves me correctly] 7 kilos for hand luggage. Bear in mind, though, :rolleyes: that these amounts MAY vary according to which airport you travel from/to. Presumably in your case [excuse the pun] it'll be Heathrow on the initial outbound flight.

last year airport tax 750pesos i don't this year luggage allowance 30kilos going home, going back 20kilos. anyway welcome to the forum

cebu pacific no way to fly them again i had a bad experienced to them the management is so bad i was booked online and printed the itenerary e-ticket the guard won't allowed us to go in bcoz it wasn't a proper ticket and he sent me to the office to change a proper ticket. and their flights always delayed

There IS no standard luggage allowance - you really need to check online to see what the weight limit is for both hold luggage and hand luggage. Ive seen limits as low as 10KG for hold luggage and with £25/kg extra. This is excessive, but check it out on the airlines site before you travel to make sure you know what to expect.

i have just recently come back from the phils traveling with cathay pacific and my luggage allowence was 20 kg :Erm: when i got talking to some pilipinas on the return flight there allowence was 35kg:Erm::Erm::rolleyes::yikes:
