View Full Version : Doh.. Insulted my girl!
Northerner
17th July 2009, 08:56
Hey Guy's,
A few hours ago I was talking with my girl when her computer froze (again) and disconnected us. After she got back online she mentioned how she needs to save up for a new PC..
So I half joked that perhaps I might get her one for Christmas:Erm:
Well, that did not go down too well and I swiftly found that for the first time I had insulted my new girl:doh
But after her telling me how she was not like that and my grovelling attempts of an apology we moved on to other topics:rolleyes: But boy, after thinking back and comparing her to my scammer of an ex, I think that I truly have found a diamond after searching through coals!
So to any other guy out there who has ever been burnt by a Filipina; move on and see who else is out there. Learn from your mistakes and if you look hard enough you will find a truly genuine lady who will restore your faith:)

oh the fun of chatting with a new lady for the first time, you will find they are more than sensitive at first and you need to be prepared to saying sorry alot?
try to forget the past and treat any future relationships like she the first girl you have chatted to,oh dont tell her about who you have already chatted with online!

If you want to know that your online friend is genuine, offer her money (at early stages of the relationship) and let's see what the reaction will be... :xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3:
If she says YES straight away... you know what you're dealing with :Erm::Erm: (I guess...)

good advice, mine didnt ask for money at any point until it came to making wedding arrangements. having tried web dating sites in the past it becomes apparent very quickly when someone is scamming or genuine.

Funny, mine also mentioned being a bit tight lately because of the fees for having her papers certified by NSO and DFA for our Certificate of Legal Capacity but I have known her for quite some time and I know what kind of a gem she is and I ran to Western Union without the slightest reluctance. I too have encountered scammers in the past and I feel totally safe with my GF. :)

:xxgrinning--00xx3: Well done, she sounds like someone you can trust 100%. And if in the future I am in the same predicament as you are now (NSO..), then I'm sure I would only be too happy to provide support

Actually she was extremely ashamed to mention her financial difficulties and I had a hard time explaining her that we both had plans for marriage and it was just normal that I give her some peace of mind and this morning she went to Western Union and immediately after to NSO. And she'll have enough to buy some nice stuff for my visit in September.... :Rasp:

:xxgrinning--00xx3: Well, you've made a commitment and although she was ashamed to tell you about her financial problems, I bet your stepping in has further confirmed (to her) how you intend to keep her secure throughout your life together!

I have a question that I've never found a logical and satisfying answer to. Why in the world do these women ask for money to send to their families in return for giving you their love? I'm a woman, but I was raised in a family where we don't rely on outside sources of income. Maybe it's just pride, but I would rather rot than ask someone to be my constant source of money to support ten aunts, seventeen cousins, thirteen siblings, parents, and whomever else is looking for easy money (who probably don't have enough sense to invest the money properly anyway). I know they're all hard workers, but why would your family ask for a handout just because your partner has more money?
I'm not trying to be negative, but I could never understand the whole concept of the "i'll be your wife so please show me you love me by sending cash to my family back home every so often" thing. I have friends who decided to go down that path but i can't wrap my mind around it. :ARsurrender::Cuckoo:

That's a guy's lot in life though. You don't have to give birth to your children, so you better accept who really wears the pants in the family.:icon_lol:

Poverty makes people do all sorts of things, dontpushme.
Prostitution is all about money.
You sound educated and probably come from a good family, unfortunately not everyone does.
We should be thankful for our comfortable lives in comparison to others.
There are also greedy people everywhere who have money and just take more from anyone.

On the other hand, if a man is responsible, he knows he should have to work for his family, especially if his wife brings up children.
I much prefer my wife to wear dresses too, much more feminine :icon_lol:
