Same here, folks. And yet it's my wife who's the Filipino! Just imagine ... she prefers to spend as much of her time as possible *nurturing our garden, while I'm typing away merrily! But, as she says, *that's her hobby, and ... well ... THIS is mine, and so long as we're both happy, then fine ... !! :BouncyHappy:

So it would seem. And yet ... I feel really guilty about the amount of time I spend on the forum, instead of doing something "constructive" around the house. :cwm24: Besides, next week we're having guests for a few days ... Myrna's niece and family who live in Hartlepool.
But still I persist ...

I suppose I'm lucky, in that my wife is very patient. She knows how much I enjoy being part of this forum ... participating in the humour that abounds :lol2:... and trying to contribute in some way - however small - towards helping others in situations I can immediately identify with.

I'm thankful as well to be part of the forum:). Logging in everyday or anytime i wishes to is just a part of my daily routine, i check my emails everyday and can't help to open the filuk forum at the same time:D. I have my own free time for i have chosen a job which doesn't require a wholeday attendance, such a stressfree life i may say!:xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3:....I met few people who became such wonderful friends to me:xxgrinning--00xx3:. I enjoy reading informative articles and the exchanging of views of the members. I like the humour section:xxgrinning--00xx3:. Sometimes i make a big laugh:icon_lol: and hubby is surprised and asks what is it all about?!:icon_lol::D:xxgrinning--00xx3:
:xxgrinning--00xx3: And my heart goes to some who are undergoing burdens on their lives/emotional baggage i may say:bigcry:. Oh such is life!:)
Thanks Sir Keith.
Cheers!:)

The internet brought so many good and bad things.
Being interactive with people, for me, has been the best thing.
It is nice to be able to use websites to get information, but the human side certainly comes out in forums like FilipinoUK.
We help and have been helped so much, there are always kind people who want to share their thoughts and comments.
Sometimes differing views can make people upset (I won't mention them!) but we generally can all interact with each other. We all have off days even on forums, but the great posts give us all a marvelous feelgood factor.
I was unable to meet some members from this forum this weekend and was looking forward to that.
The personal touch is always more important than the impersonal ones, but forums do allow us all to often instantaneously connect with others.
It eats up time, yes, but how much time do we all save by the advice of others.
How would we all start to pursue a new love affair with a Filipina for example.
My beautiful wife is with me in England now, and the speed at which this happened was greatly reduced by knowing what to do right from the start with a lot of reading of comments of others here.
In this often crazy world that we live in, with violence and upsetting things we see on our streets and in the news, it is so rewarding to know that there are many of us that feel good about offering advice.
It is a beacon of hope.

GUILTY of Fil-UK forum addiction!!! i must admit i'm sooo much addicted to this forum. I spend way too much time reading all sorts of stuff in here. It is very informative and i also like the humurous posts, quite entertaining..i wasn't happy though at some point when there were members giving rude comments :NoNo::NoNo: and started to upset other members. I thought my favourite forum turned into a "battleground" & "Survival of the Bitch--est! :NoNo: well, anyways, i'm glad that majority of the members here are great, nice & witty people. :xxgrinning--00xx3::xxgrinning--00xx3:
