Is there only the one in Manila? Do you have any advice for someone in Surigao applying for a tourist visa in how would be the best way to make travel arrangements??
Stay overnight in Manila, if it is the only appliction office, or try to do it all in the same day and then return home?
Any ideas appreciated, thanks.

Getting a Tourist Visa is extremely difficult.... so many are refused.
Before going down this route (and wasting your money), I suggest
you do a little research on this site re: tourist visas
The British Embassy has to be totally re-assured that she will return.
So, (a combination) of a profitable business (usually employing others),
children, high-profile job is what they will look for.
Your status as sponsor is IRRELEVANT
My advice ?.... try & meet in Thailand or Malaysia.
Easier for her to get entry to these countries.
Then, if u do decide to go the distance (wedding or fiance visa),
she has a "record" of travelling to another country, and RETURNING !
That will be viewed as positive by the ECO in Manila.

I know what you mean. We did already meet in Thailand and she returned. I hoped that might help the application.

from Surigao to cagayan de oro flight to manila she will need 1 night in a hotel in manila i think the total cost to you will be about £250.00 you can book it all online might need a night in cagayan as well
remember i applied 3 times for a visitors visa :doh that was 4 trips to manila from cdo it starts to add up its now 5
