Hi to all! I am now in a process of applying spouse visa, I did not use my husband's surname on my passport since I have just ammended it last March 2009 due to discrepancy of my place of birth. Could effect the decision made by ECO in granting me a visa?

Hello scottishbride, :Hellooo:
It should make no difference, my wife has just this week been granted her spoucal visa, and her name in her passport is her unmarried name, as long as you remember to use the same name as in your passport when buying any air plane tickets.

:NoNo: It will make absolutely NO difference to the ECO in determining the end result of your wife's visa. MY wife, like Mick's, had HER maiden name in her passport at the time SHE applied for her spouse visa [still has] and was assured it would be alright to have it updated to show her married surname once she was settled in the UK.

But just bear in mind what Mick said about booking your wife's plane tickets in accordance with the particulars that appear on her passport at present.

Good Luck! :xxgrinning--00xx3:
