For some preggy mother have you took some folic acid on your pregnancy and if so for how long?:Erm:I hope in God`s will my pregnancy will be okey and no complications or whatsoever.Hubby and myself we`ve been married for almost 3 years now and all in all known each other for more than 4 years.And now the long wait is over as had pregnancy test and am Preggy for about a month.I hope and pray that everything will be fine.If I may not be able to reply your answer guys sorry in advace as am still on my holiday:xxgrinning--00xx3::DMiss yah all:)

well,before getting married we vowed to enjoy each other first for two years before having a li`l one but I think its more than two years now :Dwe just can`t get enough of each other and I thought am not getting younger no more:)

i took folic acid early on my pregnancy, it was the doctor who prescribed me for such thing ,the doc will tell you when to stop taking folic acid anyway, i forgot mine though.

good luck and enjoy ur pregnancy...................

I have just read something on win2win`s post I should have taken folic acid 3 months b4 my pregnancy as umbilical cord develops on its 4th weeks and I should take it till my 12th weeks of pregnancy thanks marylen:)

Yes it is essential to take folic acid(VitB9 or Folate) to prevent birth defects...it also plays a large role in cell growth and development, as well as tissue formation. It is recommended to take a daily dose of folic acid starting at least one month prior to conception and during the first trimester of pregnancy.:xxgrinning--00xx3: Consult your OB for further info.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Finally sis you are now pregnant so happy for you:D Yup, very essential to take folic acid before and during the first trimester of pregnancy. But in my case i carry on taking folic acid until i was 7 months pregnant:D

Have you booked your gp appointment already? Im excited for you:)
Look after yourself now take more fluids:) Goodluck:)

As regards taking *folic acid ... it seems to be the norm for expectant mothers nowadays [I remember my daughter mentioning *it]. :rolleyes: Guess your obstetrican and/or midwife will guide you on the dosage(s) recommended.

Meanwhile, take care, and enjoy the rest of your holiday with the forthcoming Mr Daddy. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

You can get folic acid in the chemist or your gp can prescribed you:D I took folic acid and multivit during my pregnancy then on my 3rd tirmester i took iron supplement and stop the folic acid. The reason i took iron supplement coz my iron level was so low same exp when i had james:doh And dont forget take more more fluids now juice or water the best:xxgrinning--00xx3:

The GP and your midwife will guide and assist you through out your pregnancy. Excited jud ko dai for you mabuang ko lol:):D

About the Folic acid:Erm:it's a vitamins I think even not pregnant are taking it in preparation for becoming pregnant:Erm:.
SO you are in the 1st trimester so I advice you to take care a lot because it's very sensitive stage and don't stress your self:)

so hubby will soon be called daddy daddy:Cuckoo::D:Hellooo::BouncyHappy::BouncyHappy:

I've hered it in the news this morning that it is better to take it even before getting preggy and continue taking it regularly as it will help avoids any possible abnormalities to the baby.

You can work as long as you want, although it doesn't usually go down that well if your waters break in the office :cwm24:

Yes you can carry on working as long as its safe for you and ur baby. 11 weeks before your due date is the earliest you can take ur ML.
