Good evening all!
We've been looking in on this forum now and again over the past few months. Today i had finally decided to register and have a good old moan about how long it was taking for my wife's visa to be processed!
Then this morning- coincidentally - a reponse to an email I wrote yesterday, and then the "tracking system" (I use that term very loosely!) had changed to the long-awaited "with courier"! ... Our settlement visa was submitted 2nd July in VFS Makati.
We are John & Roselyn married in Quezon City on April 28th. Thats us in the photo (of course, I say that hoping that it has changed from a smiley face or a photo of a hamster by now!!)

P.S. Meant to mention, John, that my daughter and her husband ALSO live in Aberdeenshire ... in the village of New Deer ... and I'd be interested to learn which part YOU belong to.

Hi John & Roselyn,
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting your visa. It's a very long journey and you've only just passed the first couple of hurdles, so just stay tuned here and you'll get all the advice you need to get over the other hurdles you will come up against. The next hurdle is the CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) http://www.cfo.gov.ph/ , which your wife will have to attend before she will be allowed to leave the country.
Iain.

I got around 2 hours sleep last night from sheer nerves!...
The courier called while we were chatting on Yahoo messenger at around 05:00GMT and my wife redirected him to the internet cafe where she was... So I got to witness the courier handing it to her, and her opening it!
Then about 10 minutes later a DHL guy turned up with some birthday cards that my my family and I had sent for her birthday on Monday.
When I got to work I immediately booked a KLM flight for October 25th, and it cost me all of £126! I knew those air miles would come in handy!
All in all it has been a very good day indeed!!!:xxgrinning--00xx3:
Arthur, I'm in a small fishing village North of Banff, living off the proceeds of the oil industry!
Thanks to everyone for your welcome!!:)
