Hello All,

Good day! I am posting today Appeal to AIT in relation to my daughter's application to join me and my husband. Does anyone knows how long it takes? and what the procedure is?

It was refused for 3 reasons:

1. No legal custody stated in the court papers - Unfortunately I cannot supply any backup to this but I explained the only reason it was not clearly stipulated because my children were born out of wedlock and that there was no legal bind between me and the biological father.

2. Sole responsiblity - I would like to thank Joeblogs for the link he has attached to one of his message it helped me a lot. I attached all the necessary docs to prove that I am solely responsible for my children upbringing, (with due respect I said my husband and me are responsible, as we have one pot.)

3. My bank balance is not big enough and that I might end up to public recourse. - My explanation to this is that we meet the essential things in life before we think the bank balance. My husband and me are in employment. We have a house and sends £100 a week to my father who is 84 who look after the children.

I have posted all the docs that I consider important to the case hoping all will be fine but the time scale I've no idea ..Please help. Thank you very much to all.

Hi There have you contacted your MP? Theres an election next year and it may well be worth contacting them for help in asking questions possibly.

From this link when i did a quick google it appears there is even a MP's AIT Hotline

I thought about that Somebody and I might give it a try. To be honest all papers are ready but I did wait for a reply before i finally let it go out of my hands. It is hard to be away from your children it is killing me, the thoughts of not being together.

I will do keep in touch and give update. Thanks for the comfort.

Hi your not a pain at all, im no expert I think you should carry on with sending your post to AIT and ask for your MP's help to see if they can assit you. They cant wave a magic wand but can ask questions which you cant as a normal person on the street.
