Can anyone help?
we hope to bring Lyn's parents over for a few months next spring time.
I am getting 'working tax credits' at the moment due to low income. Will this be harmful to my application? We have a few 'grand' in our joint account and Lyn should have Citizenship by the time of applying.

I have searched the forums for the answers, but drew a blank. I'd be
very grateful for any help/advice, thanks. Tommy and lyn.

make sure you apply for a family visit visa, so they could have a right to appeal.
visit visa's are always risky, but then they dont cost much :D

you need to show you have enough to sponsor their trip, and they can provide evidence that they will return to the phils and a lot of luck :xxgrinning--00xx3:

i dont think it asks on the form if the sponsor receives certain benefits, i haven't looked thou :doh

but good luck :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Thanks for that, hopefully it goes ok, just not too sure of all the ins and outs.

i wouldn't worry too much about 'working tax creds' becuase you have a legal right to claim them, you need to show bank statements with money to support thier visit.

more likely they will be refused on 'the balance of probabilties' they will not return to the phils.

so show they have reasons to return to the phils.Example thier brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, grand kids( a simple family tree- showing all thier familiy are in the phils, thier home, land, pension, savings, friends etc.

Thanks for the advice.
I think they are similar to most Filipinos when it comes to savings though
zero pesos in the bank. I'll just have to hope they believe they will return due to family commitments, etc.
I'd like to hear other member's 1st hand experience regards this though.
Come on, don't be shy. there must be at least a few who have been in this situation before.
In anticipation, Tommy.

Forgot to ask, does anyone know for sure if they will ask for 6 months bank statements too?
My account has no consistency, BIG fluctuations. Always been like that.
Do you think I need to get some consistency? I'm a bit concerned regarding this.

Thanks, Tommy.
