The Specials "Gangsters"
Any song by the Kaiser Chiefs - but fave is "I Predict a Riot"

"Aye" from the album Bothy Culture by Martyn Bennett.

This is not Bennett playing but it's a very good acoustic version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmyMo5wa0Ec

"Mobile" by Avril Lavigne

"Vagabundo" by Chico & the Gypsies

"Rockin Me" by Steve Miller

"Fill her up" by Sting particularly the fantastic gospel choir in the middle, makes me cry every time :) (not that I am particularly religious btw).

"Bellavanich" by Wolfstone I'm a sucker for the the Fiddle and the Pipes.

"Reels on the Reelpipes" and "Highland Cathedral" by The Red hot Chilli Pipers :D you should hear these guys quite stunning.

"Rome Wasn't Built In A Day" by Morcheeba

I quite like a Filipino band called Shamrock I prefer their acoustic Tagalog Ballads, it's a bit of boy band but some of the music is really good.

Also really like Aegis, first saw them when we popped into 22nd Street in Las Pinas about 18 months ago.

This place in fact http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZ9W315Gmhg&feature=related I have a funny feeling that they own that club.

All this stuff and lots more makes me happy :)

:Erm: ... Going back in the 'mists of time' [circa 1959/60] a song I always remember from my mid-teenage years is: "What Did Delaware Boy?" ... cleverly-composed words ... that appealed to me ... and a catchy tune, too!! American (obviously!) but, for the life of me, can't remember who wrote and/or sang it ... :Erm:

When I'm feeling down, I enjoy listening to Rancid's "Ruby Soho", The Offspring's "One Fine Day", anything by NOFX (hilarious band!) and of course Madness (any song really). The punk/ska styles of music always get me feeling upbeat. :)
