Hello

We are in the process of completing my wifes spouse visa appliction ready for her VISA appointment on the 23rd October. At the same time we are applying for our sons british passport. A liittle worried now because the embassy inform us that there may be a delay on the passport issue.

Maybe we should just go ahead with Deannas appointment without placing our son on the application otherwise if theres no passpoirt it would be more costly.

Any advice on this one is apreciated as i dont know. If Deanna is succesful on the Souse VISA and at a later date our son gets is passport would this be problem of him not being on the previous application of VA4.

Sorry if i have complicated things on this one. aNY HELP or what to do next is welcome??????????????????????

why not just wait for the passport for your son, because visas are being given out really quick?

whats the rush with the spouse visa and if your wife comes first, how will your son get here.

i think your better off getting the passport first and applying for the spouse visa with your son included because you may get the visa in next to no time.

Thanks very much for your reply. About the Spouse VISA. We are rushing because unfortunately my work is going slow next month. Abit worrying. Just part of the seasonal work . I think maybe you right and we have to delay the Spouse VISA . We received the email from the Embassy in Manila to say that our sons passport could take upto 1 month with it being first time application

Again thanks for your advice. HELPFUL

your wife ron will be given a 27 month spouse visa, means she can stay in the phils for nearly 4 months after its issue, before she must come to the uk..

so apply for ur sons passport asap, did they say how long it could take?, as your applying for your wifes selttlement visa in a month and your wife can stay for nearly 4 months after its issue, so i wouldn;t have thought it would take 5 months for your son to get a passport !!

tHANKS jOE . Yes i receive email today from the British Embassy in Manila to say. The first time applications could take only 2 weeks but because this is a first time application it may take 1 month or so. It depends on whether Deanna will be requested to attend an interview.

Yes we will go ahead with the VISA. Shall we still include our son in the Visa application as it requests passport number of is passport. Again if theres delay we wont be able to supply that info. Maybe we should include covering letter to confirm that the passport of our son is being processed.

Otherwise all is going well and busy collecting all the remaining documentattion. No time to be worried. hehhehe

yes it might be best to do what you said, include a cover letter saying your waiting for your sons british passport number,i dont think there should be a problem as he's british and it's probably not important information anyway, i mean what do they want to know for, bit pointless knowing if someone will be traveling with you :Erm:.. as if they were non british they would probably need to apply for a visa anyway if they were travelling with you :D

We applied for our son's passport while we were waiting for my wifes visa application.

On the application form, I think we wrote that it was awaiting application.
