My brod in-law was digging in our farm and found an antique. I took it here to find out how old it is and how much is the value.
It is valuable if this is gold ehehehe.

What is it? Can't tell what it is. There was recently the biggest anglo-saxon find of gold in staffordshire. It's not part of that is it lol

It looks to me like something that's been "lifted" from a Catholic church.

You found Antique?I didnt know you visited Panay(think about it:icon_lol:).Right,it doesnt look like an Egyptian scarab, what it does look like is an old crotal bell,I have found several similar though not in as good a condition as that Pen,maybe its part of Yamashitas Gold :icon_lol: Metal detectors in Pinas?I took mine a few years ago to check out an old japanese or rather rumoured japanese WW2 camp in the boonies, found nothing but flakes of rust :icon_lol:

You're right Tawi! It's a bell but the middle thing was melted when we found it. It doesn't ring anymore. Can I borrow your metal detector?

Wait till the antique roadshow comes to Newcastle, show them the bell and tell them you found it on Holy-island,that will throw a spanner in the works for local historians and have them scratching their collective heads :Erm:
