Great site guys,
Lots of stuff here. I am (like many) building a great friendship with an amazing woman from the Philippines. We are looking to get her marriage annuled which is like walking into a minefield!! I am travelling over to Manila in a weeks time and im very excited.
I realise that in bringing a fiance over to the UK, she will have a big culture shock and most likely be homesick. Is there a Filippino community in Manchester that can be contacted?

Hope to glean as much info from your combined experience as I can over the coming months

Paul.

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum. If your girl needs to get an annulment just make sure you have very deep pockets and plenty of patience. 99.9% of attorneys in the Philippines are money grabbing crooks and if they find out the girl is involved with a westerner, they're even worse.

Ok I'm sorry, maybe I did exaggerate a bit. I'll rephrase that, 99.8% of attorneys in the Philippines are money grabbing crooks. Is that better?

welcome Paul. I had my case heard over 4 months , and on the 6 month i finally got the decision but to be honest I spent a lot on top of legal costs. Follow up is very important Paul.
