I live in Spain, with my accounts in UK and Spain. I have Spanish and UK addresses. It was very difficult to sign up for PayPal, even though I tried all sorts of combinations, accounts, addresses etc.

Ive never had any problems whatsoever with Paypal.
Ive even had to make a claim regarding a dodgy ebay seller and the money was refunded quickly. Donating to the forum is quick and easy too.

go to paypal.com or .co.uk (depending on where you are) ... and choose to create an account. All you need is an email address.

You're welcome :)

Hi Jaishann, I had same query like yours, setting up paypal account.
In my case I tried registering but it say's UNVERIFIED account I guess it says like that because :Erm:I don't have yet UK bank account as I can't put details of my Phil bank:doh so while waiting for my bank approval (Which is very hard to get as a fiancee visa holder) I decided to try Paypal top up card (recommended by Charwill:)) which is I found it very cool:rolleyes: but then again I can't register it says unsuccesful:doh so I foned Paypal Top up card customer service they said I didn't passed local checks database:NoNo::NoNo: for my identification coz arriving here in UK recently :Erm::doh
but I'm sure in your case you will be registered easily and get one quickly:xxgrinning--00xx3:

I really don't understand, because for me it take 5 minutes, what problems are you having?

Is it due to national difficulties? I signed up for my pay-pal under my UK account . . . I don't know about Philippines accounts etc.

What is the problem you're encountering?

Great to hear it was easy for some.

In my case I have a UK bank but a Spanish address. That may have been the problem, although in the end I have the account with the same details I tried from the first. A friend of mine with the same combination of UK and Spain had no problem, so guess its luck. But I am surprised PayPal don't get to grips with the problem.

I think you are right John (but i am not sure) because what I did is I choose UK as location and when it came to the part where my address is needed I chose the county from the drop down choices, I guess you have to choose Spain so then they can pick up your details electronically right.
