Hi, i'm just new on this site and been here in UK for 2 weeks.
Been checking this site since the time when we applied for fiance visa.
This site is very helpful to us honestly that's why we decided to join the community.
We want to ask help also from someone or anybody here who knows the process of filing the FLR after getting married, just getting confused with the identity card thingy...when can we possibly apply for that? is it before filing the FLR form or after?
Thank you.

We re awaiting the FLR at present.
I'd suggest the following...
1. Get your marriage registered at the Philippine Embassy
2. Get your name changed at the same time
3. Apply for the FLR (in your NEW, married name)
4. After you've send in the application form, they (the UKBA) contact you to
set up a Biometrics appointment.
5. Do the biometrics ... then sit back and wait for 2-3mnths

We turned up at the Phillipine Embassy at 10.30am, registered the marriage,
and the amended passport was ready for collection at 4.00pm the same day.
(you can download the relevant forms off their website).
Re: FLR ... yes, posted the application form & docs to them, and about 1 week
later we got a letter telling us to arrange the appointment for the biometrics.
(We arranged it for 3 days later at Croydon)
.... and now we are waiting.... 7 weeks so far.

hi bluebirdjones,
I'm thinking if i will renew first my passport as it will expire on aug 2010 before filing for FLR or just wait for my wedding on January then do both the ammendment and renewal of passport at the same time???
What passport do u have right now? the new one( Brown Phil Passport)?
Thanks again.
