Hola mi amiga! Just read your ticket and see how many kilos allowed.

You'll surely enjoy being a tourist with hubby.
Enjoy your shopping in London.
Don't be too obvious with your man, buy me this buy me that. Joke lang huh!
I just remember when I first met my hubby. I was a tourist and he asked me what I want, gives me money everytime he withdraw from the bank.
I just said, I only like to eat, and save the money you'll give. Ehehehehe.

But these days, I missed that questions, I want him to repeat those lovely questions.:icon_lol:

Have a safe long jouney. Take a book with you and read cover to cover.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

i dont think your hand luggage will get weighed,so try to fill your hand luggage with heavy stuff.

so pack your case with a little excess 2/3kg and you shouldnt get charged.

my wifes case weighed 7kg,so she brought a new case weighing 4kg.

do you know how much you have to pay for excess weight, because they have a weight limit like 32kg and if your going to pay excess make sure you use up the 32kg.

Occassional if your hand luggage is large or looks heavy they may weigh it.

I am not sure if I agree with your last comment as sometimes they charge per kg, so if you go up to 32kg you could end up paying a lot.

of course if you carry 2 big bags that look heavy they may check,i was refering too that many will fill there check-in luggage and carry the excess as hand carry,as this is rarely checked?

if both check-in and hand luggage got weighed,im sure both will be over the weight limit :Erm:

and the excess will be charged at per kilo and not as i wrote,i was in a rush :D

Which airline QueenBee?

KLM I have a lot of experience with and you can have problems with hand baggage on, KLM limit for hand baggage is 12 kilo in economy.

If the hand baggage is unusual shape or looks like it could be bigger than the permitted shape they will weigh it, occasionally they do anyway even if it looks fine.

The permitted shape is 55 cm x 25 cm x 35 cm, any bigger and it will have to go in the hold. (I think that applies to almost all airlines)

I always have a rucksack for my camera and laptop and various bits of computer equipment and it tends to be heavy so I carry a heavy waterproof jacket in case I have to offload anything, yes crazy on the way from UK to Phils but not so crazy on the way back. If you have such a jacket you can offload a lot of weight to the pockets :D

If you have a camera sling that round your neck, sling anything else you can round your neck until after check in then transfer anything you want to your bag they only weigh it once.

Be careful though, if you are on KLM, you may be allowed two pieces of hand baggage international to Amsterdam but they can restrict you to one piece on the second flight to the UK, you need to read the small print on your ticket to be sure, as the rules change quite often.

Cathay hand luggage is 56x36x23cm - basically what Jim said. Though only up to 7kg for economy.

Though in additional to that you can carry an overcoat or shawl, a small handbag briefcase (no more than 4kg or 9lbs in weight), a notebook or laptop computer (no more than 4kg or 9lbs in weight including case and accessories), and a small camera or a pair of binoculars.
