It's up to you if you want to beleive or not.
Warning..!!!! Just last weekend on Friday night we parked in a public Car park. As we drove away I noticed a sticker on the Rear window of the car. When I took it off after I got home, It was a receipt for petrol. Luckily my friend told me not to Stop as it could be someone waiting for me to get out of the Car Then we received this email yesterday.
WARNING FROM POLICE THIS APPLIES TO BOTH WOMEN AND MEN BEWARE OF PAPER ON THE BACK WINDOW OF YOUR VEHICLE-- NEW WAY TO DO CARJACKINGS (NOT A JOKE)' Heads up everyone! Please, keep this circulating.. You walk Across the car park, unlock your car and get inside. You Start the engine put it into Reverse. When you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your Space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle Of the rear window. So, you stop and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view. When you reach the back of your car, that is when the carjackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically run you over as they speed off in your car. And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car. So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your Money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity are Now compromised! BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED. If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, lock your doors and just drive away. Remove the paper later. And be thankful that you Read this e-mail. I hope you will forward this to friends and Family, especially to women. A purse contains all kinds of personal information and identification documents, and you certainly do NOT want this to fall into the wrong hands. Please tell all your friends.

I choose not to believe it!
my reasons are
1) it's too unprofessional for the actual police to be sending around
2) The grammar sounds like it's been written in Filipino English, like "get inside" and many others
3) Hmmmm ....:Cuckoo:

When i read this, i thought i'm in the philippines, lol
as this is something most likely to take place and occur in the philippines
Carjackers there always come up with endless ways and modus operandi and they never run out of ideas.....
and they seem to target more the lady drivers as they are considered an easy target and helpless or weaker victims....

HIya Lady J hope your well, I can understand how scary these emails are when you get them especially with a little un:)
I can remeber to senior managers at work passing on emails which if they had googled they would have found out are chain letters.

To be honest there is some truth in this chain letter, it could happen. But this method isn't the main method used by carjackings, so just because there is a bit of paper on your rear windscreen it doesn't mean you will be carjacked, and it doesn't mean you are safe if there isn't. You always ought to be a wary especially at night in insecure car parks.

http://www.hoax-slayer.com/car-jacking-warning.html
This is a web site specialising in Hoax warnings. They say its been spread around several countries, always claiming it relates to that country, they say it's a hoax.
On the other hand, it might give potential car thieves an idea of another way to 'practice their art.'

Of course it could happen but its unlikely to be a report of an actual gang or indivudal doing it locally.
